A DOLL’S HOUSE POSTER DESIGN

With a limited palette and only typography to work with as a restriction, I designed a poster for one of my favorite plays since it had moved me. A Doll’s House by Henrick Ibsen, a critical look at 19th century marriage norms.

In this piece, I wanted to express Nora (the main character) clinging in desperation to her husband, yet at the same time, wanting to break free of him. She is both delicate and at his disposal. But in turn, has her own mind to stand independent of him, even if it leaves her penniless.
